Huawei has officially expanded its popular Nova lineup with the launch of the Huawei Nova 15 series in China. The new series includes three smartphones — Huawei Nova 15 Ultra, Huawei Nova 15 Pro, and Huawei Nova 15 — each designed to cater to different user needs while maintaining a premium experience. With large batteries, Huawei’s in-house Kirin chipsets, advanced camera systems, and the latest HarmonyOS 6.0, the Nova 15 series aims to strengthen Huawei’s position in the upper mid-range smartphone market.

Huawei has positioned the Nova 15 series across multiple price segments, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

The Huawei Nova 15 starts at CNY 2,699 for the 256GB variant, while the 512GB version is priced at CNY 2,999. This model targets users looking for a balanced mix of performance, display quality, and battery life at a relatively affordable price point.

The Huawei Nova 15 Pro begins at CNY 3,499 for the 256GB variant. Huawei also offers Kunlun Glass versions, with prices going up to CNY 3,899 for the 512GB option. These variants focus on durability and premium design.

At the top of the lineup sits the Huawei Nova 15 Ultra, priced at CNY 4,199 for the 256GB Kunlun Glass version. The 512GB model costs CNY 4,499, while the highest 1TB Basalt Tempered Kunlun Glass variant reaches CNY 4,999, making it the most premium Nova smartphone to date.

All three models are available for purchase in China through Huawei’s official website and come in Vibrant Green, Zero Degree White, Phantom Night Black, and Purple Goes Well With Everything colour option.

Display and Design: Premium Look Across the Lineup

A huge 6.84-inch Full-HD+ OLED LTPO display with a resolution of 1320 × 2856 pixels is a feature of the Huawei Nova 15 Ultra and Nova 15 Pro. With a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, these panels provide seamless gaming and scrolling. The display quality is undoubtedly one of the best features, with 1.07 billion colors, a P3 broad color gamut, and Kunlun Glass protection.

A somewhat smaller 6.7-inch OLED display is included with the Huawei Nova 15. Its somewhat reduced pixel density helps set it apart from the Pro and Ultra models, even if it has comparable color accuracy and refresh rate capabilities.

Performance: Kirin Chipsets Take Center Stage

Huawei Nova 15 Series

Huawei still uses its proprietary processors. The Kirin 9010S chipset, which powers the Nova 15 Ultra and Nova 15 Pro, is built to effectively handle gaming, multitasking, and camera processing. Up to 512GB of internal storage is available in the Pro model, while up to 1TB is supported in the Ultra model.

The Kirin 8020 chipset and up to 512GB of storage found in the regular Huawei Nova 15 provide dependable performance for everyday tasks, media consumption, and light gaming.

HarmonyOS 6.0, which powers all three phones, promises better ecosystem integration, more privacy controls, and smoother system animations.

Camera Capabilities: Strong Focus on Photography

Huawei Nova 15 Series

With the Nova 15 series, Huawei has made camera performance a top priority.

With a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, the Huawei Nova 15 Ultra has a potent quad-camera configuration. A 50MP ultra-wide camera, a multispectral sensor for better color accuracy, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens are also included.

With a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, the Nova 15 Pro delivers a somewhat reduced setup while keeping the multispectral camera for improved photography.

The Ultra and Pro models are perfect for taking high-quality selfies and conducting video calls because they have a 50MP selfie camera on the front. Content creators will find both phones more appealing because they can record 4K videos.

Battery and Charging: Long-Lasting Power

The remarkable battery performance of the Nova 15 series is one of its best features. The enormous 6,500mAh battery of the Nova 15 Ultra and Nova 15 Pro is powered by 100W rapid wired charging. This combination enables the phones to readily endure extended periods of intense use, such as gaming, streaming, or multitasking, while recharging swiftly.

For those who value battery endurance, the normal Nova 15 is a solid option because it has a little smaller 6,000mAh battery but still provides consistent all-day power for routine daily tasks.

Durability and Build Quality

Durability has also been a priority for Huawei. With IP68 and IP69 ratings, the Nova 15 Ultra offers excellent water and dust resistance. With its IP65 rating, the Nova 15 Pro offers dependable defense against dust exposure and common splashes.

Both phones have thin profiles despite having huge batteries; the Ultra is only 6.8mm thick.
