Bajaj Auto is gearing up for an aggressive product rollout in 2026, with a strong focus on expanding the Pulsar lineup, introducing an all-new motorcycle brand, and restructuring its KTM and Triumph portfolios. The plans were hinted at during Bajaj Auto’s Q3 FY2026 earnings call, where the company reported healthy growth across domestic and export markets.
In the two-wheeler segment, Bajaj’s core offerings—including Pulsar motorcycles, the Chetak electric scooter, and KTM and Triumph bikes—continued to perform strongly. With demand momentum holding steady, Bajaj is now preparing multiple launches to strengthen its position across mass, premium, and electric segments.
Multiple new Pulsar bikes coming in 2026
The Pulsar range will remain Bajaj’s biggest priority in 2026. The company confirmed that several new Pulsar motorcycles will be launched through the year, largely as refreshed versions, new variants, and next-generation updates.
Some 2026 Pulsar models, such as the Pulsar 150 Twin Disc and Pulsar 125 split-seat variants, have already reached dealerships. More launches are planned for March and May 2026, and reports suggest that Bajaj could also experiment with ADV-style or off-road-focused models, either under the Pulsar badge or through a dedicated sub-brand.
In addition, Bajaj is preparing next-generation Pulsar Classic models in the 125cc, 150cc, and 220F segments. These bikes are expected to receive major mechanical updates, including a new chassis, more refined engines, and reworked suspension setups aimed at delivering a sportier and more composed ride.
Visual updates are also likely, with new colours, refreshed graphics, and feature upgrades expected across the lineup.
Pulsar continues to dominate Bajaj sales
Pulsar motorcycles continue to be the backbone of Bajaj Auto’s business, contributing nearly two-thirds of the brand’s total two-wheeler sales.
In December 2025 alone, Pulsar sales stood at 79,616 units, marking a strong 21.42% year-on-year growth compared to 65,571 units in December 2024. The 125cc Pulsar models account for nearly 30% of total Pulsar sales, while other segments contribute as follows:
151cc–200cc: ~16%
126cc–150cc: ~12%
201cc–250cc: ~6%
In the premium category, Bajaj is also aiming to push volumes of the Pulsar NS400Z, which sits at the top of the Pulsar portfolio.
New non-Pulsar bike brand in the works
Apart from Pulsar, Bajaj is also working on an entirely new motorcycle brand, separate from the Pulsar lineup. Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director at Bajaj Auto, confirmed that this project has been under development and was previously mentioned in earlier earnings calls as well.
While exact details remain under wraps, the new brand is expected to debut in the early part of FY2026–27. This move suggests Bajaj is looking to target new customer segments without diluting the Pulsar identity.
KTM and Triumph portfolio restructuring planned
Another key focus area for Bajaj is its KTM and Triumph motorcycles, especially in light of recent GST changes. While motorcycles below 350cc benefit from a reduced GST rate of 18%, bikes above 350cc are taxed at significantly higher rates, ranging from 31% to 40%.
In the short term, Bajaj has absorbed the higher costs to maintain sales momentum. In Q3 FY2025–26, KTM and Triumph combined sales crossed 30,000 units, registering nearly 30% growth, driven by new KTM launches and consistent Triumph demand.
However, Bajaj has acknowledged that absorbing higher taxes is not sustainable long-term. The company is now working with KTM and Triumph to restructure their portfolios, potentially bringing more models below the 350cc threshold. A similar strategy could also be applied to range-topping Pulsar and Dominar models.
Chetak EV continues strong growth
In the electric two-wheeler segment, the Bajaj Chetak continues to deliver solid results. The Chetak range now contributes around 16% of Bajaj’s total two-wheeler sales.
In calendar year 2025, Chetak ranked second in the electric two-wheeler market, securing a market share of over 21%. Bajaj further strengthened its EV lineup with the launch of the Chetak C25 in January 2026, priced at Rs 91,399. With rapid network expansion, Chetak is now available in over 800 cities across India.
With a packed launch pipeline and strategic restructuring underway, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Bajaj Auto.
